Itinerary
Day 1: Colombo

Arrive at Colombo International Airport, Katunayake. Meet, assist & transfer to hotel in Colombo. |

Afternoon sightseeing tour of Colombo. |

Dinner & Overnight at a hotel in Colombo. |
Day 2: Colombo / Sigiriya / Habarana

Having taken the breakfast at hotel we leave for The Lion Rock
Citadel, Sigiriya (479- 496 AD) (WHS). Located in the world's most ancient surviving
landscape garden with sophisticated hydrology is the rock citadel of Sigiriya towering 200 m above the surrounding irrigated plains. In a
natural pocket of the rock are renowned Sigiriya frescoes and world's
most ancient graffiti to the boot. |

Having
climbed to the top of the rock we would find ruins of an
ancient palace & two intact swimming pools. |

We travel to Habarana & stay overnight there. |
Day 3: Habarana / Polonnaruwa / Habarana

After breakfast at the hotel, we leave on a sightseeing tour
of Polonnaruwa (846 AD - 1302
AD) (WHS), the great Sinhalese Kingdom.
Highlights: ruins of ancient palaces & temples, renovated ancient
temples & stupas. Among the still intact colossal rainwater reservoirs
is the inland sea like Parakrama Samudra (The Sea of Parakrama) of 2100
hectares (5600 acres) |

Evening: elephant back safari in Habarana. |

Overnight is at a hotel in Habarana, located perfectly equidistant between Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura & Dambulla. |
Day 4: Habarana / Dambulla / Kandy

Having taken breakfast at the hotel we leave for
Golden Dambulla Rock Temple (76 BC -1778 AD) (WHS), home to hundreds of beautiful statues & fine murals. |

Thereafter leave for Kandy the Royal City (1469-1815 AD) (WHS) of
Mediterranean climate at an altitude of 500m, the last Sinhalese kingdom of Sri Lanka, the gateway to the central highlands. |

Enroute visit a Spice Garden. Check in at hotel in Kandy. |

We will be visiting Peradeniya Royal
Botanical Gardens set in a loop of the largest & longest river of Sri Lanka. The gardens cover an area of 150 acres
with around 10,000 trees. |

The Holy Temple of Tooth is arguably the holiest shrine of
the Buddhist world. |

Overnight is at a hotel in Kandy. |
Day 5: Kandy / Pinnawela / Nuwara Eliya

Right after breakfast we visit the
Pinnawela
Elephant Orphanage, home to the world's largest troupe
of captive, tamed & trained elephants. Leave for
Nuwara Eliya (Little
England), colonial retreat of the British Civil servants &
planters. Enroute visit a tea factory and a tea estate |

Arrive in Nuwara-Eliya and check in at hotel. Afternoon
commence on a sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya. Busy market,
Lake Gregory, golf course, race course, vegetable
cultivation. |

Day 6: Nuwara Eliya / Bentota

Immediately after breakfast we are on the way to
Bentota Bay Beach Resort, the Paradise Island, a narrow spit of land beautifully sandwiched between Indian Ocean & Bentota lagoon. |

Overnight is at a hotel in Bentota. |
Day 7: Bentota

Day at leisure. |

Overnight is at a hotel in Bentota, Sri Lanka's prime beach resort. |
Day 8: Bentota / Colombo Airport

After breakfast, we leave to Colombo Airport for departure. |
