Location: Sri Lanka Holidays Kumbukriver eco-lodge is located at Buttala , Monaragala district of south eastern Sri Lanka 250km away from Colombo.

Architecture: Let me put it with no nonsense. Welcome to the spellbinding 40 ft edifice designed in the shape of an elephant & constructed mostly with the material & resources found in the area without disturbing the habitat. Sleep in the belly of the giant elephant & swing low, slow & gentle on a windy day.

Accommodation: Elephant villa consists of two huge bedrooms with large lounge (upstairs) and living/ dining area downstairs with plunge pool. Large and spacious bathroom and separate toilet. Only 6-8 people (to optimize standards) Kumbuk chalet with large bedroom, dining, lounge and bathroom. Also features a tree-shower and an eco-toilet in the court yard.
KumbukRiver Elephant Villa is complemented by an eco-oriented chalet, once again showcasing the indigenous engineering with large bedroom, dining, lounge and bathroom. Also features a tree-shower and an eco-toilet in the court yard.

Experiencing nature: Explore the fascinating riverfront and miniature island; trek to the other side of resort, reach & explore Sri Lanka Holidays Ruhuna Yala National Park, Sri Lanka’s most famous most famous wildlife sanctuary; spot elephants in the moonlight; view peacock show off their colors at dawn. Learn about bio-diversity of  Sri Lanka, one of the Conservation international bio-diversity hotspot in the world.
